Description

Luftrausers is a 2D side-scrolling air combat game in a World War II style setting, with procedurally generated levels and with a color palette reminiscent of the original Game Boy. The gameplay is primarily about getting score by killing enemy planes and ships. The more enemies you kill in a short time, the more your score multiplier increases. You can stall your aircraft, allowing you to turn freely in the air and attack enemies behind you, while keeping your momentum going in another direction for a while. Health is regenerated by releasing the fire trigger for a while. There is also an mission system that rewards you with new aircraft parts as you kill a number of enemies or kill specific bosses, with each new part changing your plane's behavior and weaponry, as well as unlocking new and harder missions.
