Where Angels Cry

Where Angels Cry is a mystery adventure game set in the year 1286 A.D. in medieval Europe. The player takes the role of a monk sent by the cardinal in Rome on a secret mission to an isolated monastery in the Alps of Lombardy, to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Brother John, as well as to confirm reports of a weeping angel statue located there. The brothers at the monastery however, are unaware of the true purpose of this visit nor is anyone aware of the deeper mystery yet to be revealed.

Puzzles

The game comes in three difficulty levels, in addition to a customized difficult setting (changeable any time via options) which tweaks sparkles, hint recharge speed, and basic or extended tasks. Puzzles revolve around the player finding and sometimes combining items to be used with a certain object at a specified location. Hints are optionally provided to the player, indicating a designation on where to go, specifically what object to pick up or manipulate. If the hint feature is used to identify the location of an object, it will need to recharge before the player may use the hint feature again. Higher difficulty levels will feature a slower recharge rate. The following are some puzzle games the player may come to expect in the game:

1. Hidden Object

The hidden object feature in the game sets the whole game stage and not necessarily identified as an individual puzzle. Each location may have several items intentionally hidden from obvious sight that may be obtained to solve another puzzle. There is no time limit to find these items and the player may continue to other locations at will. The cursor will change shape to a hand if the object can be picked up. Advancing in the plot may also provide access to object at the same location that previously could not be obtained. Bonus objects may also be uncovered to unlock certain achievements.

1. Mini Games

Puzzle games of varying types exist throughout the game, usually for the purpose to guard some of the more important items, which may only be accessed after the player has collected the appropriate items to access it. These puzzles may be skipped if the player opts to do so, only after a certain amount of time has passed.
