Description

Two Handed Net Spades is a card game that can be played as a stand-alone single player game against the computer or against other players via a network or via Windswept Software's Game network. It was released as a 'taster' game to promote Windswept Software's games and utilities CD which can be ordered via this game.

The game is a trick taking game in which spades are always the trump suit. In the first phase of the game the player builds their hand of thirteen cards. The game offers two cards, one face up and one face down, and the player chooses one or the other until the hand is complete. They then decide how many tricks they think can be made with their hand and make a bid, the computer does likewise, and the hand is then played out. Points are scored for achieving the stated amount of tricks and for each over-trick. A bonus is scored for taking just the number of tricks that was bid and points are lost for not achieving the target.

Two Handed Net Spades was also released as a shareware game. This version was time limited and the option to play via the internet was disabled.
