Sechseck

Description

Sechseck is a single-player, tile matching, puzzle game. It is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.

The game is played on a hexagonal grid with sixteen different playing pieces comprising four different shapes in four different colours. The object of the game is to place pieces onto the grid so that they match up with the pieces in neighbouring cells, either they are the same colour or the same shape or both. In theory one placed piece could match with all six of its neighbours. Some cells are bonus cells and using these increases the player's score. Cells can be placed on the grid that do not match their neighbours but these do not score points.

The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window that cannot be resized, sound, and three different sized grids, a choice of backgrounds, a high score feature, and in-game help screens.
