ChessCards
Description
ChessCards is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.
ChessCards is a single-player, game of Patience or Solitaire that uses a combination of cards and chess moves. The player is presented a pack of cards that are randomly placed in a 4 x 14 grid. The object of the game is to sort the cards into order, the difficulty being the way in which the cards move. Even numbered cards and Kings move one space in up/down or left/right, odd numbered cards move as a knight would in chess, Jacks move diagonally and Queens can move any number of spaces up/down or left/right. Cards can only move into a vacant cell.
The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. The game has sound, different backgrounds, a high score screen and in-game help screens.
