Push-Pull
Description
Push-Pull is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.
Push-Pull is a single-player, strategy game where the object is capture more pieces than the computer opponent. In this game the player is presented with a 7 x 7 grid. The corners are left empty and along the top and bottom edges are the ten tiles belonging to the player while along the left and right edges are the ten tiles belonging to the computer. The default is that the player starts the game but this can be changed in the configuration screen. Play starts when one of the unoccupied centre squares is selected, clicking on it places a marker on the square. From this position the next player can select any unused adjacent square and push/pull the marker onto it, the object being to locate it to a square occupied by an opponents piece thus capturing it. The process is repeated until the game ends, i.e. when either all of one player's pieces have been captured or there are no more valid moves left ,at which time the winner is the player with the most captured pieces.
The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. The game has sound, in-game help screens, and a choice of playing piece, colour and screen background.
