Laser Clash
Description
Laser Clash is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.
Laser Clash is a single-player Tron-like game. The player controls a light cycle and manoeuvres it around an arena in which there are obstacles and either four or eight competitors, all the others being computer controlled. Players die by crashing into each other, the trail left by another player, or into an obstacle or wall of the arena. Points are scored by not being the first to die, so in a four player game the first to die scores zero, the second to die scores one point and the last to die scores three points. The object of the game is to achieve a high score.
The game is, by default, controlled via the arrow keys but the action keys can be redefined and joystick support is also available. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized, the high score screen and in-game help screens all open in new windows which cannot be re-sized.
