Marvin's Mittens

Marvin is out in the snow, playing and building a snowman, when a weird creature darts by and steals his left mitten. Determined to get it back, he sets out to explore the landscape around his house and find the mysterious thief.

Marvin's Mittens is a non-violent fantasy platformer without enemies or traps; the player character cannot get hurt. By collecting snowflakes, Marvin can continually increase the height of his jumps, allowing him to reach new areas. On his journey he meets friendly characters, as well as wild animals which he can sketch into his scratchpad.

Time marches on as Marvin explores the world. When the sun sets, he is called home by his mother and has to go to sleep, where he dreams about the adventures he has had so far. At that point, game progress is saved. By discovering shortcuts, he can explore more remote regions before the days draw to a close. Marvin can also find a toboggan with which to race down hills and find jumps to secret areas.
