The title screen

The first time the game is played the player must connect to the internet and create an account. They then see a long animated introduction set aboard this vessel

Introduction: There's a long discussion between Captain Grant and Von Bach, head of the arktech recovery team, which sets up the story. This leads to the character creation screens

Character Creation: Initially there are four basic character species/genders, two others are locked. Each has sub classes and later on the appearance can be customised

Introduction: For some reason the ship runs into problems forcing us to eject. This leads into the game's tutorial section where the player becomes familiar with basic controls

Load screens remind the player that there is a lot of additional content that can be purchased

Tutorial: The escape pod landed and was opened by a Bay Area resident. Here we're about to meet EGO, the Environmental Guardian Online implant

Tutorial: Exploring the crash site. Baddies are indicated by red 'v' shapes. These hellbugs appear from nowhere with a big bang<br>The fire is quite well done
