Great Sonic game, as always

The Good
I've heard this didn't change much at all from "Sonic Adventure 2" on Dreamcast, but I wouldn't know.

Graphics- At least compared to the other "Sonic" games, they're very good. The 3-D realm, which is a relatively old yet not much practiced idea, would make most think its hard to play, but it isn't. It's actually almost too easy.

Gameplay- Very good, the first time around... Unlike the other "Sonic" games, you can save in this one, so it's not the classic 'beat the game in one try or just waste a whole lot of time trying' concept, which in my opinion makes it worse. There's no replay value at all, except for the fact that each mission has five sub-missions, but those get pretty boring and fast.

Sound- Personally, I wish this soundtrack were on a CD, because I really like it! In FMVs the characters actually talk, as well as at the end of each mission, and sometimes in it.

Chao garden- I LOVED this section. I thought it was fun to raise these pets from the egg and try to get them to become what I wanted it too. I still haven't gotten my NiGHTS Chao...

The Bad
It's too easy, and that's that. I beat this entire game (both sides and a bunch of bonus missions) in less than five hours...

The Bottom Line
Any Sonic lover should definitely buy this game, and if your looking for a good game to at least rent, go for it!

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

The Good
The main story mode mixed up the gameplay types pretty well. Sonic and Shadow's speed stages were great. Tails and Eggman's shooting stages were pretty fun as well. The Chao Garden is completely changed from the previous game and will definitely pull in players who like simulations or those that just want to relax. Building a Chao to beat friend's can be a fun waste of time. The Battle mode is a great addition. Taking on other players in the three types of gameplay is good for a quick distraction. The music is, for the most part, pretty good. There tends to be a different style of music for the stages of each character. (Rap for Knuckles, Rock for Sonic/Shadow,etc.)

The Bad
Knuckles and Rouge's stages can just be annoying at times. When you reach those stages the action almost grinds to a halt until you finish it.

The Bottom Line
A really good game. This is how 3D Sonic games should be. Plus it has a 3D remake of the Green Hill Zone from Sonic's very first game! What more can you ask for?

A popular Dreamcast title returns to GCN as Sonic Adventure 2 BATTLE!

The Good
Basically, I liked the whole fact that you could play as either the heroes or the villains, and the graphics were mighty impressive as well as the cutscenes. The way the stages were designed and the challenge they give you was pretty darn cool (I could spend literally an hour on the later Knux/Rouge hunting stages). Bosses were cool, and I even liked a lot of the music featured in the game (believe it or not, I'm actually dancing to the City Escape theme right now). And Chao raising can be pretty fun.

The Bad
Tails' English voice acting sucks! Why? Because they used a three-year old kid to do his voice. Every time I hear that god-awful voice I just wish that I could reach my TV remote so I could hit the Mute button, seriously. I was also a bit disappointed to find out that both Hero and Dark stories were both so short. Aside from that, this game is so darn addictive, that I can't find anything else dislikable about SA2B.

The Bottom Line
Sonic fans of all ages, here's what to do: 1: Go to your local store. 2: Pick up this game (no matter how much it costs). 3: Play and have some of the best fun ever. I'll say it once more in case you don't know already: This game's addictive as hell and Sonic fans must go get it now. End of review.

High speed battle with Sonic and Shadow!

The Good
This game is great! I got this game with my Gamecube, I originally wanted Mega Collection but this is way better. The graphics are good, the gameplay is AWSOME, the music is great, this has alot of Crush 40 music on it.

The Bad
The only bad thing about it is the mouth moving with the voice, but who cares? No one does.

The Bottom Line
This is addictive! I am up to 200 hours plus on my game file clock, this is the most addictive game ever. That is the equivalent of playing for over 8 days straight. U want rings, chaos emeralds, fun and speed? Sonic Adventure 2 Battle has it all. With a great game like this, how could the Dreamcast have failed?

The same as the Dreamcast version.

The Good
There was not alot of improvements from the Dreamcast version. The only new things were letting your Chao fight it out and hooking it up to your Game Boy Advance.

The Bad
I really don't have an opinion about it since there were no real changes.

The Bottom Line
It would just be better to buy the Dreamcast version, it would be cheaper too.

The Good
THE GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING!!!! THIS GAME IS TOTALLY ADDICTIVE!!!! PLAY AS HERO OR DARK!!!! THERE IS A SLIGHTLY WEAKER VERSION OF SONIC NAMED 'SHADOW'!!!! 180 MISSIONS!!!! 3D GREEN HILL ZONE!!!! ALL OF THE CHARACTER'S SECRET COSTUMES!!!! THE CHAO ARE THE CUTEST VIRTUAL PET SINCE 'PIKMIN'!!!!

The Bad
Not all of the stages can be played with 2 players.

Sonic On The Gamecube?

The Good
In Sonic Adventure 2 you can play as good or dark campaigns The good characters are Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles the dark are Shadow, Dr.Robotnik, and Rouge the bat the levels are played like so level then cutscene then level again and so on that’s right no adventure but more on that later the has sonic having been captured by G.U.N. being mistaken for Shadow the dark hedgehog and he escapes not a very original idea I realize but it’s a platformer Sonic’s stages are the usual run through fight enemies Tail’s are like E-102’s levels from SA1, and Knuckles is once again looking for the master emerald pieces Shadow’s levels are the same as Sonic’s, Robotnik’s levels are like Tail’s and Rouge the bats levels are like Knuckles but instead she’s looking for Chaos Emeralds. In addition to that there is a improved multiplayer from the Dreamcast one

The Bad
The bad in this game is the exclusion of adventure me being one of the few people who I enjoyed the adventure segments and Tails in a mech a now he makes a lot of inventions but still and though the levels are an improvement over the races of SA1 and they can be fun it seems out of place. Graphics are only slightly better than the Dreamcast one

The Bottom Line
Although this game is the worst true Sonic game it still should be part of a fans Sonic Collection.
