Firefall Arcade
Description
Firefall Arcade is a fixed screen shoot 'em up similar to Centipede. The player controls his ship at the bottom area of the screen and has to shoot the worms that move down towards him. The playing field is full of barriers that causes the worm to change direction and move down one line. When shot the worm splits in two parts, each moving continuously down the screen. Each section of the worm that is shot creates a new barrier. Barriers can be destroyed and sometimes they then drop pills consisting of power ups. These allows for a more powerful weapon. For example shooting three shots at once. There also pills allows the player to move through barriers and giving an extra life. Each pill is active under a limited amount of time. In addition to the worms there are some other enemies that moves around the playing field and the player has to avoid. Each level consists of six waves of worms that the player has to defeat. After a level is completed there is a bonus round where the player has to shoot down as many drones as he can. The player can't be killed in by these but earns bonus points for taking them all out.
