Hextris
Description
Hextris is a falling block puzzle game just like Tetris, except with hexagons instead of squares. One point is awarded for each piece placed, and 25+ (current level) points are awarded for each line eliminated.

Origin
The game was originally developed on Unix based systems at CMU and worked under X Windows. It was quickly ported to the PC as well as the Mac and distributed as shareware around the world.
