Way Walkers: University
Description official description
In this interactive fantasy novel, the player makes decisions for a village's most talented youth, a magically gifted prodigy watched over by an invisible guardian angel of sorts. This youth has been selected to represent the village at an intake session for the fantasy kingdom's prestigious magical school. After obtaining admission and undertaking the arduous voyage there, the player guides this student's interactions with their teachers and classmates, in class and at extra-curricular clubs. Magical intrigues and indeed conspiracies are suggested, and by the end of this episode, the player will find their pupil up to their neck in it.
As with all of Choice of Games multiple-choice games, gameplay is achieved through careful reading of passages of text and thoughtful selection of the most role-playing-appropriate of the options presented -- sometimes with possibilities unattainable by the character in their current state greyed out. Choices inform carefully-calculated statistics being tallied under the hood, which in turn inform future choices offered. This game additionally features occasional illustrations beyond those found in earlier CoG offerings.
