Start of the first level, the jails of hell

Defeating enemies or breaking scenery rewards you with colored spheres, each color granting you health, magic or upgrade points respectively

On the upgrade menu you can upgrade Ghost Rider's moves and stats using purple sheres

In between level segments, the game shows you hints

Enemies with different color scehemes are stronger

You can grab hold of enemies, giving you a new set of attacks such as throws
