Abandon

Abandon is an action game with strategical elements set in a series of dark mazes. The protagonist radiates light and needs to find the exit unharmed as fast as possible as there hardly any safe places. By lighting the environment, objects such as furniture, cars, trees and giant robots become awake and start chasing the character. When they collide with the character, the power of the light is decreased until the character is completely shrouded in darkness. Sometimes, a certain amount of reduced light can also be used strategically, as a smaller circle of light makes it possible to navigate through narrow passages without waking up the objects.

As some objects move faster than the character, they sometimes need to be tricked into bumping into other objects or need to become stuck. The exit cannot always be found right away, sometimes an aureola needs to be picked up first. Controls consists of four keys to move around, along with an additional key to walk instead of sprinting.
