Tenchu: Shinobi-Hyakusen
Description
Tenchu: Shinobi Hyakusen is a mission pack for the original Tenchu. Over a hundred new missions created with the mission editor in the Japanese release Shinobi Gaisen are collected within. They represent a wide variety of objectives, including looking for specific items, eliminating specific (or all) targets, or protecting a character, and were collected via a contest held in Japan by developer Acquire. The game itself plays identically to the original title, and is a stand-alone package that does not require the original game to play.

Trivia
In 'A Tribute to Acquire', an article in Retro Gamer 240, 24 November 2022, Acquire's Takuma Endo reminiscences the game: "Our development budget was not sufficient, and it was hard. We did development for other systems to make money and were able to finish Tenchu. Even still, we had to cut a lot of what was planned and I would say what was released was about 40 percent of the initial plan."
