Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing

Mario Kart meets Star Wars, and it's better then you would think.
The Good
As with all Kart games, this lives and dies in the multiplayer mode, which is great fun with four fellow Star Wars fans. The characters are fun, strange, yet easy to like (even Jar-Jar isn't as bad as before), with some great sound effects, a re-mix track of 'Duel of Fates' and an overall clean presentation...
The Bad
... which does have a few bugs here and there, but nothing that would totally destroy the gameplay. The main problem is how short the games life span is. The single player game won't last very long at all, and there isn't many new things to open up in the long run.
The Bottom Line
When you think about it, all Kart games, even Mario Kart (the one that started the whole trend) relies on the multiplayer aspect of the game. In this case, Bombad does the very same thing, and it still works well, even though it's a little short. But it really is fun to play, and worth a look, even just for a rental weekend.

A Star Wars Episode I-based kart racer.
The Good
It's simple and fun. The entire design is wonderfully silly. There's just something neat about watching big-head Yoda say "Beat you I will, yes!" to big-head Darth Maul.
The course design is very good as well. You will have to complete each course many times to find all the shortcuts and secrets.
The karts handle very well and are fun to drive.
The Bad
1. It's buggy. The game sometimes freezes mid-level (something I'm used to on PC, not PS2!).
- It's shallow. Only 9 courses, easily beaten within several hours of purchasing the game. There are no hidden courses to unlock, only some additional characters. Worst of all, there is no difficulty setting.
The Bottom Line
Super Bombad Racing is a shallow but fun way to waste time, especially in multi-player mode. Recommended mainly for those who love kart racers or are Star Wars fanatics (with a sense of humor!).
