Description official descriptions

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 is THQ's first WWF licensed game after making two games based on WCW. The gameplay is similar to that of WCW/NWO Revenge, adding new features such as cage matches, custom entrances, and the possibility to create and customize player's own wrestlers.

The game features more than fifty real WWF stars, as well as the option for sixteen custom wrestlers. All the wrestlers come with their real-life theme music, entrance videos (made into slide shows) and entrance performances. Another addition is the "Road to Wrestlemania" mode, an enhanced tournament where players can challenge for any number of belts and be challenged by other wrestlers in a twelve-month journey that finally leads to Wrestlemania 2000 itself.

A kickass wrestling game for the N64

The Good
This game is a great game, the graphics are good for its time. The sound effects are really good, and the music is good, the entrances are pretty badass as well.

The Bad
The match lengths and how long it takes to pin a wrestler takes a bit of time, and the characters do look a bit blocky, and the titantron video is a bit crappy.

The Bottom Line
A WWF wrestling game that is a lot of fun, another THQ classic.

the ULTIMATE wrestling game when it first came out, now it's just another step in an evolution.

The Good
I was blown away when I first got it! Fluid animation, graphics, sound, excellent gameplay, awesome campaign mode, cage matches, battle royals, secret characters to unlock, even the Godfather's Ho's! What's not to like?

The Bad
Well, several smaller things. You can't customize female wrestlers, for example. Also, the "real" WWF line-up changed quite a bit after this game was released, so the in-game roster was inaccurate after a very short time.

The Bottom Line
All in all, I loved the game when it came out and still enjoy it today, but you'd be better off buying No Mercy (for the N64) or SmackDown 2 (PS2) instead. Wrestling games are a constant evolution, and WrestleMania 2000 was an important step, but at this point it's nothing more.
