Description

In Force Seven, the player is in charge of a specially trained squadron which consists of seven crew members, all with different expertise. Their task is to infiltrate the energy production plant on the planet KARIS by rescuing any survivors and destroying any aliens that are holding them captive.

The player is equipped with a flame thrower which they can use to destroy the aliens, but caution must be taken so that they do not destroy survivors by accident. If the player spends too much time in a room, a green alien appears in their exact location. It is invincible to shots, so the player needs to get away as soon as possible. If the player comes into contact with any aliens, their energy is depleted. When the player has no energy left, the crew member they are controlling dies, requiring them to select another member.

Also in each room are supplies, and the player can stock up on more ammo, grenades, or health if required. Teleports around the facility warp the player to a room with a blueprint reader. Using this lets players either travel between the plant's six floors or to another area within the same floor.

A very fun yet frustrating game... I have no idea how to win!?!?

The Good
Good music, good game play, makes you think and plan out ahead of time. This game is way better than another, unnamed, similar game of just shooting monsters and grabbing keys.

The Bad
No online help, it is hard to find anyone that has ever played it. I would like to find out how to beat it... what is up with the medical officer that shoots water?

The Bottom Line
It is difficult and fun, more fun than anything. A good old game to play if you want to know how games evolved.

Missing game play but still fun

The Good
This one reminds me of the Aliens movie where you are sent down to a planet to rescue colonizers.

The game play is pretty simple but it is missing portions that prevent completion of the game.

A random large green alien will (or is supposed to) show up in the room if you linger too long and it takes several shots to kill it.

The medic who shoots water is supposed to be used against random fireball-like aliens, but those are missing in the game play as well.

The Bad
Even with the missing game action, I’ll load this up and play it. It’s pretty easy to clear out all the aliens and rescue the humans, but once you have cleared out all levels, the game is supposed to end, giving you a stat history and asking if you would like to start another game.

The Battle Units (BU) don’t work as they should, either.

It never ends (at least for me) and I just roam around the plant levels looking for something that I missed.

The Bottom Line
Basically the movie Aliens where you are sent to kill aliens and rescue humans.
