The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper
NES version
Meet George Jetson..
The Good
The wholesome family from the future gets their own video game. The popular cartoon series is given a good, solid adaption into the land of 8-bit gaming.
The game's story, graphics, music and basic game play mechanics are well done. It reflects well on the people responsible for this game because a great many games based on a cartoon, comic book or film were often of a poor quality.
It is nice to see the proper respect being given to there cartoon franchise. This is not a rushed or poorly designed game.
The Bad
The game play is not too original. It is a well designed side-scrolling game, but sometimes I did wish for a bit more in terms of weapons and collectable items.
The Bottom Line
Video games based on cartoon characters can be well designed and fun to play. This game is proof of that. I welcome the Jetsons to consider another entry into the gaming world
