Hunchback of Notre Dame
Description
Hunchback of Notre Dame is an interactive storybook game based on the original story by the same name (while the game was published in 1996, it is not based of the Disney movie released the same year). The interactive storybook portion of the game shows a scene from the story and overlays it with text that is also read to the user. After the text is read, the overlay goes away and the story allows the user to click on various areas of the screen to trigger often-comical reactions from characters and inanimate objects.
In addition to the storybook, the game features 4 minigames: 1. Make-A-Match: A classic memory game where a 4x4 grid of rocks obscures 8 pairs of matching pictures inspired by the story. The player removes 2 rocks at a time to try to find matches. 2. Ring The Bell: Another type of memory game that involves 6 bells. A mouse rings a sequence of bells and the player must remember and replay the sequence. 3. Rat Maze: Navigate a piece of cheese to the plate at the end of the maze. 4. Gargoyle Builder: Build your own gargoyle with different colors of body parts. Then make him dance.
