Zombies and Pterodactyls 2005
Description
Zombies and Pterodactyls 2005 is a freeware multiplayer side-scroller game. One day a pterodactyl decides to take all the zombies, equip them with deadly weapons, and set them free among the humans. Soon other pterodactyls decided they liked this idea so much that they started helping. Pretty soon there was a huge mess.
At first the humans tried to kill the pterodactyls, but then the pterodactyls gave the humans guns, which pleased the humans. The humans then decided to kill the zombies, and the zombies grew upset because they didn't really want to kill humans. But... whatever. No one ever cares what zombies want. So the humans and zombies waged war. The pterodactyls decided that this was a great new game and began to set up battles and flew in competitors.
The intial release of the game has 16 character skins and 5 maps (3 CTF, 2 DM & 1 King of the Hill) and can be played online, on LAN, or against bots. All maps can be played in the normal mode or in special ones, such as Crazy Weapons (the weapons' attributes are changed every 15 seconds) or Caste System (world weapon spaws become ammo spawns and every character has a weapon determined by their model, which can still be changed during gameplay).
Another game mode is Kill the Ghost (only in DM and KotH) where one player can see in the dark and has full health. All other players are ghost hunters. They can only see where their flashlight is pointed at and have 30% health. Ghost killers become the ghost when they manage to kill it. There are different weapons from pistols and shotguns to grenades and rocket launchers.
