Gionbana
Description
Gionbana is a digital version of two popular card games played with Japanese hanafuda cards: Koi-Koi and Oicho-Kabu. Despite the title, it differs significantly from the earlier arcade and Super Famicom games of the same title, featuring a new cast of 16 anime-styled opponents with a sci-fi fantasy theme. In the tournament mode, five different schools of hanafuda masters have formed in the near future year 2000, and the player must defeat them all to unify the Japanese hanafuda championship. The game also includes a free battle mode with various rule and scoring settings, and there is also a tutorial mode where the player can learn the basics of how to play hanafuda card games.
