Description official descriptions
Akumanor Gaiden is a Castlevania-inspired action platformer. Play as yōkai hunter Sakura as she infiltrates the Akumanor castle to defeat the dragon Orochi and return peace to her village.
Sakura is armed with a whip and can also throw a limited amount of shuriken at enemies. Defeated enemies might drop health, shuriken or coins, 100 of which are exchanged for an extra life.
The Akumanor comprises three stages, each with an end boss.
The Game Boy Color version adds multiple difficulty levels, ranking system, unlockable boss rush mode, and changes the final boss fight a bit.
Originally developed for the GBJAM 12 game jam.
