Y2K: The Game
Description official description
The final days of the year 1999 are approaching. Buster Everman is an accountant at Dharke Electronics, a company that specializes in robotics and AI technology. After the death of its founder, a gothic horror writer, the company used his mansion as a testing ground for a fully automatized home management system, with robotic servants controlled by a master computer. Now the Dharke Mansion is for sale, and Buster decides to buy it, after having unexpectedly won the lottery.
Buster and his girlfriend Candace arrive at the mansion, where they want to spend the New Year eve. There is just one tiny problem with the sophisticated computerized system of the mansion - it is bound to do unpredictable things at the turn of the millennium. When the clock strikes midnight at the start of the year 2000, things start to go wrong. Buster is unable to leave the house, and his girlfriend has disappeared. Now he has to deal with the treacherous devices of the mansion, rescue his beloved one, and fix the system.
Y2K: The Game is a third-person point-and-click adventure game. Locations are viewed from fixed camera positions, similarly to Alone in the Dark games. Most of the puzzles in the game are dedicated to fixing various computerized devices or figuring out the way to access locked rooms and safes.

Trivia
The box for Y2K is designed to look like a metal breifcase. When you open up the flaps it looks like you are opening a nucleur device. There is even a light built into the spine of the box (which in turn is the suitcase handle).
