Smash! Hits: The Powerpuff Girls (included games)
Description
Smash! Hits was a UK magazine and this is one of their cover-mount enhanced CDs which contains some simple games, wallpaper, a screensaver, fun facts and a competition. In a CD player the disc plays as normal and has the following tracks:
- "Do You Really Like It?" - DJ Pied Piper
- "Another Chance" - Roger Sanchez
- "Everyday" - Liberty
- "Funkey" - Allstars
- "Napoleon" - Jamie Benson
- "New Day" - Tymes4
- "Kick Back" - The Masai
- "I'll Give It To You" - De-Sire
On the computer the disc autoloads to a menu screen which sits in the middle of the screen and has the following sections:
- Get: Here the player can install a Cartoon Network Powerpuff Girls screensaver and/or wallpaper
- Play: Here there are three mini games:
Pillowfight: This is a mini-game that plays like Bomberman and can be played as either of the three girls. All the girls are in their bedroom and pillows randomly appear around the room. The player's character move left/right/up/down via the action keys and automatically picks up a pillow when they run over it which they then throw in the direction they are facing - hopefully hitting one or both of the other AI-controlled girls who are trying to do the same.
DangerGrid: The professor is training the girls and schedules them for a session in the Danger Grid, unfortunately he is knocked out by a villain who turns the danger level up to eleven! Flying as a trio the girls have a limited period of time in which to find the four keys needed to disable four giant robots. The SPACEBAR makes the girls fly while the mouse is used to steer and to shoot.
PowerPerfect: This game has three levels and can be played as either of the three girls, the mouse is used to steer and to fire. In the first level the player has to locate the baddie's hideout on the map, the second is a 2D side-scrolling game where the player has to dodge obstacles coming in from the right and the final level is a boss fight. - Win: This is a Concentration-style game where matching pairs of tiles have to be found. When completed the game gives a message of congratulations and attempts to open a link on the Cartoon Network website for a chance to win a prize.
- Know: a selection of Powerpuff Girl facts
- Send: Here the player can send Powerpuff Girl-themed e-mails
- Watch: An episode of The Powerpuff Girls: "Boogie Frights"
Neither the weblink in the WIN section nor the e-mail options in the SEND section are functional in 2023.
