Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
PlayStation 2 version
The game is Ok, I guess.
The Good
The game is alright. The gun selection is decent enough. The levels are pretty good for the most part. The terminator actually looks like Arnold in the game, and sounds like him, which is a total thumbs up! T3 has a unique blend of a story, in which missions take place in the future, past, and present. It has a Terminator 3 Redemption demo that was totally cool, and some behind the scenes and stills, and more! The 3rd person fighting matches in the game are really cool, and overtime the terminator gains awesome battle damage in fights, in fact, when his health is down to 20, he starts to limp, and most of his T-850 parts are exposed, totally cool if you ask me. Good CG graphics.
The Bad
Oh boy, this game is full of bad stuff.
1.Blocky character designs
2.Besides the Terminator, all the other characters look nothing like/and do not sound anything like the actors.
3.A very annoying soundtrack.
4.Ultra repetitive. Gets old after the 3rd level.
5.Present weapons are lame.
7.You do the same thing over and over again, which makes for a very boring game.
8.Very little replay value.
9.Does not follow the story very well (The scenes and levels are not in chronological order, compared to in the movie).
10.Short game, easy levels. And I mean easy.
The Bottom Line
This game is alright. Not as good as the movie stars/ game creators said it would be. The game is so so. Its a time waster. I think you should try to stay away from T3. The movie sucks, and so does the game. Get T3 Redemption or Dawn Of Fate. I would personally choose Dawn Of Fate. The only thing that's cool about this game are the nice CG cut scene graphics, and the future weapons selection, and the T3 Redemption demo. If you excuse me, I am now going to go watch Terminator 2.
