Chopper II
Description
Chopper II is an action simulation game in which the player is given command of a fully armored attack helicopter that is still in service after a battle between two rulers fighting for a piece of jungle terrain. The aim of the game is to rescue injured survivors from the Colombian jungle and return them to base. Enemy planes and helicopters must be shaken off and artillery on the ground avoided or destroyed.
The upper part of the screen consists of a computerized three-dimensional image and represents the space and the objects traveling through it. The shape of an object is an indication of its condition, such as a circle for a flying object, a triangle for a ground vehicle. The lower part shows the instrument panel. The on-board computer communicates messages from headquarters to the player. It tells you whether refueling, arming or picking up wounded people is necessary. The instrument panel displays all movements (turn, altitude and fore-aft), as well as a speedometer, turbine temperature indicator, two fuel gauges, radar and compass. An identification system tells whether it is an enemy or friendly object. Finally, two options indicate the status of the helicopter and its weapons stock. It is also possible to switch and lock weapons.
