Paper Roses

Paper Roses is a romantic fantasy visual novel which was developed for the NaNoRenO game jam in 2017. The story follows Kira Brookheart, a 22-year-old woman who sells paper engagement roses as part of the family business. In the world that Kira lives in, a person's eyes change color when they meet their soulmate, and as someone who has not yet met theirs, Kira's eyes remain a dull gray. However, that may be about to change.

As Kira, the player has twenty in-game weeks to start a romantic relationship with one of three love interests: Robin Akiba, Kira's male best friend who works at the local coffee brewery; Creed Akiba, Robin's younger brother who aims to become an alchemist; and Iris Aria, a spoiled princess who may begrudgingly need Kira's help to adapt to the real world. The player's decisions throughout the game may determine which person Kira ends up with and how the story ends.
