201 Action Adventure Games

201 Action Adventure Games is a compilation of shareware, freeware and demonstration games for Windows.

The games in this package are accessed via a bespoke game browser which groups the games into:

• Action games: A mix including space shooters such as Raptor and Alien Battlecraft Arena, Tank shooters such as Hard Core, naval shooters, racing games such as Pro Wheelchairing , plus the odd board game Reversey. There are also fighting games AJ Super Fighter and Final Duel 2: Deathmatch Arena, sports games Aspen: The Worldwide Skiing game and Gap Sk8er 2. This group also includes some Breakout clones, a pool game, Worms Armageddon and a pinball game

• Adventure games: Another grouping that has a broader than usual scope. It starts off with a few hex based war games 1941: Operation Typhoon, 1942: Campaign for Malaya, 1945: Operation Konrad and goes on to include Hyperspace Delivery Boy! for the Pocket PC, Micro Flight 2 and Formula Broomstick both flight simulator, and a clone of The Castles of Dr. Creep. There are side scrolling games like Watkins, and K9, shooters such as Atomaders, and puzzlers such as Mysterious Palantir but not much in the traditional adventure mould.

• Role Playing games. This group contains some adventure games such as Ally's Adventure Through the Glass , a bunch of sports management games including ActualCoach, Playmaker Football and Baseball Mogul 2003, a Chess game Chess Rally 2, together with some sports games like Kayak Extreme, Bowling Mania! and Go Fishin!. There are real RPG games here too among which are Nethergate, Magebane 2: Trinity, Winged Warrior I together with Winged Warrior II and Winged Warrior III, and Exile: Escape from the Pit together with Exile II and Exile III
