Safe Cracker

Safe Cracker is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.

You are a country gentleman by day, but by night a cat burglar. A professional safe cracker, and tonight could be your crowning achievement in your long history of audacious and charming crimes. Tonight you are going to crack fifteen safes and retire at dawn a millionaire.

The player drives their car through a grid of buildings trying to gather all of the money bags. Police cars rapidly zoom from the edges of the screen trying to catch the player. These cars always appear on a street directly facing the player, and will stop moving if the player changes their road. Only one police car appears at a time, and these stationary cars stay on the map until another car on that street replaces them. If the player hits a stationary or moving police car it's game over. There are 4 levels of difficulty, and a level is completed when all money is collected.
