Freeware release
Sołtys was released as freeware on November 26, 2011 at the ScummVM website. It is available in its original Polish language, and, for the first time, an English translation is also available.
In 2014 L.K. Avalon made another of its games - Sfinx - free on ScummVM.
Title translation
Sołtys in English roughly translates to something akin to village leader, mayor, or chief.
