The Price Is Right With Your Host: Joe Pasquale
Description
The Price Is Right is a television show that started in America in the mid 1950's and since then the game has been remade in over forty countries. This game is based on the UK show and is presented by Joe Pasquale who hosted the show in 2006/7.
There are two modes of depending on the number of players, there is no single player option;* 3 or 4 Players: This plays just like the television show.
+ Round 1: The Pricing Round. Players are shown an object and must guess it's price from a range of options without 'going over'. All players choose from the same selection of prices so going first is an advantage.
The winner of the first round then has a chance at a 'Super Game' where they can win an additional prize before going on to the grand final. This process is repeated until only one player is left - that player has lost.
Super games are mini games played for an additional prize, typically players are asked to select the highest/lowest items or the items that have the same price from a selection.
+ Round 2: The Big Wheel Round: The 'Big Wheel' has segments with values up to 100. The remaining players spin th wheel to get the highest score without exceeding 100. The winning player gets to play the Showcase Final.
+ Round Three: The Showcase Final. Before playing the final round the remaining contestant plays a simple mini game to find out how accurate their final bid must be. With that decided the player is then shown a range of items from garden features to motorbikes, from holidays to furniture and guesses the combined value selecting a price from the options offered without 'going over'. If successful they win the game, either way it's Game Over and the credits roll.
In the Pricing Round and in its Super Games players are shown a computer generated representation of the item to be priced but in the Showcase Final they are shown a filmed sequence with models and the real thing.
- Joe's Two Player Challenge: a player must win thee pricing games in order to progress to the big wheel round. If the player wins the Big Wheel round they are straight through to the Showcase Final, if they lose then they must win another pricing game before they can try again.
On the inside cover is a text-in competition for a cash prize.
