Lurking II: A Madness

Moby ID: 183475

Description

Lurking II is the sequel to Lurking: Immortui, set a couple of decades after the player party of the original game stopped the machinations of the necromancer. Times were peaceful since the old threat had been dealt with, but now a strange madness is taking hold in the world. A magical plague is infecting people and turns them into liars, thieves, murderers. The player party is sent to find the origin of that disease and procure a cure.

Like its predecessor, Lurking II is inspired by classic Ultima and plays very similarly to its 1980s inspirations. The interface is mostly keyboard-driven and talking to NPCs involves typing in keywords. The game features a large open world made up of square tiles, full party creation with up to 5 characters, tactical turn-based combat and a non-linear story.
