Façade
Description
Grace and Trip are a happy couple. Or so it would seem. One night when you are invited to their apartment for a regular casual get-together, all of their anger boiling up inside begins to fall out.
With their marriage going down the drain before your eyes, only you can shape the way their life progresses. In this self-proclaimed "interactive one-act play," you speak to Grace and Trip in plain English by typing on your keyboard, and what you say and do will be a factor in where there relationship goes. Though it all lasts only about 20 minutes, there are dozens of different endings that you can reach.
Façade is viewed from a first person perspective, and uses keyboard and mouse movement as well as the text parser.

Trivia
1001 Video Games
Façade appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.
Development
Façade, a five year, spare time effort, was meant to be a research project in artificial intelligence. This research seems to have paid off, impressing fellow game designers and journalists enough to be called "The future of video games" by the New York Times.
Sequel
By November 2006, a follow-up of Façade was said to be in the works with the working title The Party. Instead of only featuring two NPC's it was to have ten NPC's and was suppose to be a longer and more in depth game. A twitter post from Michael Mateas, dated December 3, 2013, confirmed that he was not currently working on it.
