1001 Video Games

Team Fortress Classic appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.

Mod version

Team Fortress Classic was first released as an official mod for Half-Life on 7 April 1999. It was later bundled with most retail releases of Half-Life and its expansions. When Valve developed the Steam digital store, it became available for separate purchase.

German version

In the German version, all blood and gore effects were removed. Additionally all human characters were replaced with robots (only in-game; they are still human in the menus).
