Anocris

Anocris is an isometric, browser-based, MMO RTS game. Set in 1200 B.C. Egypt, you are the new Pharoah of the lands of the great Nile river. You are tasked with building and growing a new settlement to enormous power and bringing great wealth and prosperity to your people. But the path to great new heights is not simple nor safe. You must also defend your base and attack others to succeed in the world. You must also work to gain favor in the eyes of the gods. Develop and institute new technologies while building new alliances with other empires. Do whatever it takes to be greater than both your foes and your allies.

You begin the game in the volatile and dangerous sands of the Sahara desert with only a sparse amount of resources to start building your empire. Fortunately, you have the aid of various iconic Egyptian gods by paying tribute and showing your gratitude in various ways. In doing so, you may be granted powers to further bolster your ability to develop and build your kingdom all the quicker. Even further, you will need to research the culture and advanced technology of ancient civilizations to further support you and your civilization.

Even with the support of the mighty gods behind you and the aid fancy technology, a large focus of the game is the interaction with other online players - whether in war against one another or in aid/cooperation of others. If you want to push forward, you will need to forge strong alliances with other Pharaohs to survive and thrive in Anocris.
