Nerble Force

Nerble Force is a 1-player side-scrolling arcade game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

You are one of the last human survivors of the planet Nerble. All of your comrades are on the surface of the planet while you are in the only remaining human spaceship. Your task is to defend the humans against the Nerble Force. The player controls a small vessel that moves in all directions, and fires horizontally. The screen scrolls horizontally, and enemy and human location are shown on a small map at the bottom of the screen. Grabbers try to capture men on the bottom of the screen, and if they bring them to the top they become wigglers. If a grabber is shot before it reaches the top of the screen, the man falls to the grounds, and must be caught and safely lowered to the ground. If the grabber reaches the top of the screen with a captured man, it becomes a wiggler, and attacks the player. Miners move diagonally and leave deadly mines on the screen, and chasers barrel straight towards the player.

If the ship is hit by an enemy, the player loses a ship, and starts the game with 4 ships in total. A new ship is awarded every 50,000 points. If there are at least 5 aliens on the screen, the player is awarded a kamikaze bonus, and doesn't lose a life if they crash into an enemy. Each level contains waves A - H, and a wave is passed by shooting at least 8 grabbers or wigglers.
