Vampires Dawn: Deceit of Heretics

Vampires Dawn: Deceit of Heretics is a mobile game and a part of the popular German Vampires Dawn series.

Unlike the PC games, this game models its combat after Tactical RPGs. Players can control a party of up to 4 characters and are able to attack enemies only if they are within their weapons and magic range. Blood acts as MP in this game for vampires, allowing players to use magic or suck the blood of human enemies in battle to restore it. As for the skeletons, their equivalent is soul power which can be replenished by killing enemies and human NPCs.

In cities, apart from talking to NPCs and accepting side-quests from them, players can opt to transform humans into runes and objects that will aid them in battle, steal items from them (If they master the skill), as well as suck their blood. Sucking blood from humans will restore each Vampire's MP. Players can stop the blood sucking at any time to keep the human alive.

Levelling up gives players talent points which they can spend on improving various types of skills, such as stealing, sucking blood, seeing hidden passages and things, raising stats and mastering new spells.

The game starts off with players taking control of Lara, a little girl, whose mother urges her to run away from her father who turned into a vampire and is planning to kill both of them. Unfortunately for the girl, the vampire catches up to them and kills Lara's mother, but is interrupted by Vince Neras and his skeleton servants before he can kill his own daughter. Lara joins Vince in his fight against the human crusade, hoping to find her father, as well as her mother, whose corpse had gone missing.

The lower end devices received a simplified port where the game is constantly in combat mode with the story unfolding through dialogues. In these versions, experience is given to the character who delivered the finishing blow to an enemy.
