A Mars Moose Adventure: WalkAbout 3 - World Sports Day
Description official description
A Mars Moose Adventure: WalkAbout 3 - World Sports Day is among the more than 100 Lightspan Adventure educational games that were distributed to American elementary schools in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Mars Moose and the Adams Street Rangers have to prepare for the upcoming World Sports Day. In "Register at the Sports Complex," the player must find the quickest way to the Sports Complex by issuing a set of driving directions using a map of the city. In "Write an Article," the player helps the Rangers complete a story about the event by replacing pictograms with words. Finally, at the sporting goods store, the player helps sort through team uniforms and sporting goods by matching the equipment with the corresponding sport.
Part of Lightspan's reading and language arts curriculum, the game is geared toward children ages 5-7 and aims to teach reading comprehension, mapping and spatial skills.
