Cleanwater Detectives

Moby ID: 146827

Description

Cleanwater Detectives is an investigative game designed to teach students about water pollution.

The player takes on the role of an investigator an a local water protection agency. They receive reports of water pollution, and must seek out the location of the pollution source and the cause of the pollution. There are three levels of difficulty, and the player must test different samples along a map of the local waterways. By testing upstream, the player can determine the initial source of the pollution. The player can then perform laboratory analysis of the samples, to determine if they might come from an oil spill, factory runoff, soil erosion, fertilizers, or other source. If the player can successfully determine the source and cause of the pollution, they will solve the case.
