Hunting Unlimited 3

Taking the Hunting Unlimited series to the next level, this third installment in the series brings you 10 big game animals in the US and Canada, as well as 3 more animals in Zambia -- Lion, Elephant, and Kudu. Choose from over 26 firearms and bows, and 26 accessories, including a horse and an ATV to ride around, to complete the hunt. You can also choose different types of camouflage to wear (including a choice of hats).

Choose what type of game you want to play from 4 different modes, as well as tournament and user missions. The four modes include Challenges, Free Hunt, Target Range, and Mini Games.

Challenges include a large number of challenge missions starting easy and progressing to more difficult challenges. In order to move through the challenges, you need to get enough points in the previous challenges. Points are given based on what you kill and how well you kill it (number of shots, kill zone, distance, etc). Challenges can be realistic and imaginary/humorous.

Free Hunt allows you to take your hunt to any of the 6 locations and hunt any animals that are normally found in that location. You get 3 animal tags that are open to any animal, so you are not limited on what animal(s) you bag. You can also choose between 6 different weather types, such as snow, rain, and fog.

Target Range is just that... a place to test your skills with the various weapons. If you're not good with a specific weapon, get some practice here before trying to take out a real animal.

Mini Games are a fun diversion to regular hunting. There are 4 mini games to choose from... Archery Range, Buzzard Blast, Deer Drive, and Squirrel Bash. These games are just for fun and do not get you any trophies.

The game offers an optional bulletcam that will allow you to see your bullet on its way to the target; giving you a close-up view of the kill shot (or close miss).

The trophy room is not really a trophy room per se. Instead, it lets you see your animals that you have killed in a standing or running position in an outside view. It also shows you the details of the animal and the kill. You can even see where you hit the animal by rotating the animal around. This can let you show off your great shot, or your many bad shots... depending on how quick you took the animal down.

Another thing you will notice is the realism of the game. For example, if you take a bad shot and hit a deer in the leg, it will run away with that leg raised (running on three legs). You may also see that elk collapse and then lift its head up one last time before dying.

After you take down that great trophy, take a moment to get a picture of yourself. The game lets you kneel next to your kill for that perfect screenshot of yourself and your kill.
