A pleasant game with virtually no remarkable or distinguishing characteristics.
The Good
Come See Me Tonight has excellent artwork. This is definitely the game's high point. The special CGs are drawn as well as in any bishoujo game currently available (unfortunately, CGs are only used in the sex scenes, so I did not submit any to MobyGames). The downside here is that the game's character designs are fairly dull. I thought that Tsugumi was extremely cute, however the girls were otherwise drawn pleasingly but not memorably.
Of note here is the fact that Come See Me Tonight contains hands-down the most creative sex scene I have ever seen in a bishoujo game. I'll avoid going into detail as this is a family show, but let's just say that it involves a piano.
The Bad
The game is extremely simplistic. It is always completely obvious what choice you should make in order to please the girl you like - the decision trees could have just been left out entirely. What's more, the individual girls' storylines just aren't that interesting. They never seem to evoke any emotion in the gamer other than mild amusement. This isn't helped by the fact that the game seems to devote more text to the finer points of vegetable chopping and dish washing than the relationships developing behind the scenes.
The Bottom Line
Come See Me Tonight has a fine premise; one that could have been fertile ground for both comedy and romance. As it is, though, the game has little of either.
I would actually rank this game higher than the similarly themed Do You Like Horny Bunnies? games, however. CSMT has better graphics, better character designs, less perversion, and a marginally better storyline. However, it does not compare to either Tottemo Pheromone or Tokimeki Check In!. Look into either of the latter two titles before considering this one.
