Blood+

Blood+ is an hack and slash platform game based on the anime series Blood+ created by Production I.G. The game is set in the fictional town of Shiki-Newtown, which has recently been terrorized by attacks from monstrous bat-like creatures called Chiropterans. Players control the anime's main protagonist Saya Otonashi, a high-school girl who is capable of killing the Chiropterans and their ultimate goal is to find and kill Diva, Saya's younger twin sister.

Saya wields a sword and unlocks new combos as players progress through the game. When Saya's enemies are close to death, a Down Arrow sign appears above their head and pressing the corresponding key will initiate a sequence of keys players must press for Saya to effectively dismember the enemy. Defeated enemies drop crystals which charge Saya's Bloodlust meter and using the finishing moves mentioned above will help fill the meter faster. Once the meter is full and players activate Saya's Bloodlust, enemies start taking more damage, with most enemies taking one hit to be stunned, and another hit to be killed. Players may also find healing items and lore items that tell them about Saya's past in trunks scattered all across the levels.

Besides the Story Mode, players may also fight in an Arena, where Saya must defeat as many enemies as possible without dying. As players defeat enough enemies, the areas of the upper levels of the Arena will open.
