Windows 98 Secrets

Windows 98 Secrets is a weighty book, over eleven hundred pages, explaining Windows 98. There is a clear sealed plastic wallet glued to the inside of the back cover of the book, this contains many utilities and a selection of games.

The contents of the disc are divided into seven categories:* Applications. This contains calendars, chemical analysis software, desktop publishing software, personal information manager software and more

• Tools. Here you will find clipboard tools, diskette copying & formatting software, mail managers, graphic converters, hex editors, Spell checkers and Zip/Unzip software among others
• Utilities. This section contains battery monitors, calculators, screen savers, virus scanners and more
• Fun Stuff. Just two categories here Font Utilities and Icons and Mouse Utilities and Cursors
• Games - covered in more detail below
• Multimedia. Just three groupings; Editors & players of WAV files, CD Audio players, and WAV sound files. This last group has just one product SensuVox 1 described as a collection of five hundred .wav files which will give your PC a "sensual voice".
• Registry. No groupings here, instead there are four programs providing a sample colour scheme, two registry search programs and one that adds a 'create new file' function to the right mouse button.

The Games category contains four groups; Card and Solitaire-Type Games.
