Weird, messy, silly, yet oddly addictive.
The Good
A game like few others- penguins, good and bad, are racing all over the screen, and you've got to shuttle the good ones where they need to go while holding back the bad ones. Sounds stupid, right? Well, you've got me there. Yet Mutant Penguins had the same tension that the best Real-Time Strategy games have. It was basically StarCraft/Warcraft with Penguins. The levels layered on complexity, and each one offered their own little puzzle to solve.
The Bad
The title could have saved the Jaguar had it had a multi-player. Once you'd solved a level, you never needed play it again. Playing a human opponent would have made this game HISTORIC!
The Bottom Line
Tetris with penguins.
