Description

Antowas has created a land of striking beauty and magic, with Astal and his beloved Leda among its happy inhabitants. However, Jerado has set out to destroy it, capturing Leda and forcing Astal to set off to save her.

Astal is a side-scrolling platform game with lots of Anime-esque background detail. You have a bird helping you if you can rescue it. Special moves such as a smart bomb can be collected.

Action

The Good
Beautiful animation. Good storyline. One or two people can play this. Very well done graphical presentation.

The Bad
The save feature is based on a limited amount of lives and continues. The controls can be some what sluggish at times. There was never a sequel.

The Bottom Line
People seem to either hate it or love it. If you don't like Japanese Animee' don't bother buying this.
