This DLC (downloadable content) for Star Trek: Bridge Crew replaces the Star Trek (2009 reboot) setting with that of Star Trek: The Next Generation, which is seen in the crew uniforms and the fact that the ship is now the Galaxy-class U.S.S. Enterprise-D. There is a new controllable character - Operations, and two new enemy races - the Romulans and the Borg.
The Enterprise-D can go to all ongoing voyages as in the base game, including two new ones - Patrol (flying to different star systems and encountering random challenges) and Resistance (completing a series of objectives that enable fighting off a Borg cube that is tracking the ship).
