Great fun - a must for your next LAN
The Good
MotoGP 2 has outstanding graphics and an impressive feel, with minimum specs that would bring a smile to the face of most. For me, a racing game has to feel right, and this game satisfies in that regard. You get a real sense of speed down the straights and the bike corners like it has weight and momentum. I'm no expert, but I never once think "mmm... this is not right" while playing this game. All I can think about is getting the best line, and am I catching the next guy? Graphics are bright and well defined, and are easily adjusted to get the best out of your rig. You can choose your rider and bike, and even get your initials on his suit. Very cool. My favourite though is the fall and crash animations. You're sure to wince the first time you push your bike past its limits and hit the bitumen. Personally I play plenty of LANs, and this game is the best racing LAN game around. The set out of the screen makes it very easy to know where you are in relation to others. All the info you could want is right there. It keeps your points and makes for a fun afternoon with mates. Sound is not amazing but adequate.
The Bad
My only gripe is unlockables. Who thinks of these things? I bought the game let me play all the tracks! If I have just reinstalled the game I've got only three tracks.
The Bottom Line
Race fan should get this game, you'll love the feel and crashes.
