Just accidently read the description here. Lovely. Peaked my interest. Not entirely sure why it's labelled horror, but I'm sure that's from a conservative can't stand the sight of blood point of view.
A sandbox game where all you do is kill people? Dang. I kept running out of cops and mobsters to shoot at in Mafia II.

Horror is debatable. You can burn people alive, and the burned pain skins are pretty harsh, but that's about the nastiest. There's an expansion pack that adds zombies (I believe) where Horror would be more appropriate.
Recommended? Mmmmmm... nah. Much better than the first Postal, but still a fairly budget-looking (and playing) title. The situations are noteworthy, the gameplay is pretty weak. I didn't find the staple gunplay very exciting or well done, and the options for mayhem actually end up being pretty limited. Yes, you can piss a gonorrhea-infected stream into a cop's face, but even the novelty of that wore off quickly.
That's how I remember it anyway. I did pick up the GOG pack release and keep meaning to go back and review it.

I loved it as a commentary.
I think you're never actually forced or even told to be violent. The game just throws so much shit at you that at some point you probably want to be. E.g. the demonstrators against violence in videogames, who start torching the developer's building, with you in it. Priceless. And when some do-gooder, appalled, describes the horrible things you can do in the game, you can go: You did WHAT? I had no idea what kind of a person you are!.
It's really really really short and repetitive though, probably not worth the $10 at GOG. If it's on sale, it's worth a look.

Reminds me of a comic strip on Wizard of Id: two empty cauldrons entitled "fried critter" and "boiled something". The hungry soldiers opted for the third cauldron of peanut butter and were happy.
Directed choice is fascinating, but tell that to the liberals.

Only to the point where it's like playing a strategy game. Many of the mumbo-jumbo actually does work in real life surprisingly. Playing people who think and act like sheep is just oh, so amusing.
I think I better lay off the political game simulators for awhile. :p

I personally think the game is awesome. If you are into the offensive humor, you will enjoy this game. If you are easily offended, I dunno if that would be a good idea.
I remember spending 19 hours playing this game in 1 day, when I was younger, one of these days I am going to have to install this game to my PC and spend a day playing it.
